Motorists in Enugu applauds the performance of the new traffic wardens

 Motorists in Enugu have been applauding the performance of the new traffic wardens in Enugu  State. 

Some of them who were interviewed by lorine media correspondent expressed happiness on the way they have been trying to restore discipline and peace on the road. 

One of them, Mr Theophilus who was interviewed, said that since the arrival of the new traffic wardens they have been a lot of changes in transporttation on the roads. he further expressed satisfaction on the traffic control by the traffic officers.

Another motorist said road users are happy with the development and commended the state government for the bold initiative. 

A tricycle rider at Awkwunanaw market, Mr peter, said their presence has instilled discipline at bus stops and has reduced congestion considerably. 

However, some of the traffic wardens who spoke with lorine media correspodent on the challenges they face in controlling the traffic and coordinating motorists and padestrians movements said that the work is not an easy task especially with bus drivers who don't adhere to instructions or rules. 

He further stated that the places most of the problems were experienced are Abakpa and independence layout areas. 

It will be recalled that the new traffic wardens were recruited by the state government to beef up the state security services and ensure discipline on the roads.
